We are seeking a data-driven and customer-obsessed Email & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead our lead nurturing and sales support initiatives. In this role, you will design and execute multi-channel communication strategies—including email and SMS—that guide prospects through the customer journey, from initial inquiry to enrollment. You’ll also support our sales team with timely, personalized, and compliant messaging that drives conversion and engagement.
This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence conversion rates, customer engagement, and revenue growth in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lifecycle Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage automated email and SMS workflows to nurture leads through the funnel (MQL to SQL to customer).
- Segment audiences based on behavior, demographics, and lead source to deliver personalized, timely content.
- Create tracks for leads based on where they are in various stages of the marketing > sales funnel i.e. not contacted, high scoring, high debt -or- contacted and in consideration phase -or- contacted, not interested DIY, etc.
- Coordinate messaging across email and SMS to ensure a cohesive and compliant customer experience.
- Collaborate with sales to align messaging and timing of communications with the sales cycle.
- Sales Enablement
- Create and maintain email and SMS templates that support sales outreach and follow-ups.
- Monitor lead engagement and trigger alerts or campaigns to re-engage cold or stalled leads.
- Partner with the CRM team to ensure seamless integration between marketing automation and sales tools.
- Content & Campaign Management
- Write compelling, compliant, and conversion-focused copy for both email and SMS tailored to the debt settlement audience.
- A/B test subject lines, CTAs, timing, and content across both channels to optimize performance.
- Manage the multi-channel campaign calendar and ensure timely execution of all communications.
- Analytics & Optimization
- Track and report on key metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, SMS delivery and response rates).
- Use data to refine segmentation, messaging, and timing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and industry-specific regulations for both email and SMS.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in email and/or lifecycle marketing, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry.
- Proven success in lead nurturing and sales support using email and SMS automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Twilio, Postscript).
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation integration.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a focus on clarity, empathy, and compliance.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Familiarity with the debt settlement industry or consumer finance is a strong plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-channel lifecycle campaigns including push notifications or in-app messaging.
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping and behavioral triggers.
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and funnel analytics.
