We're seeking a marketing-focused strategist with a strong B2B tech background and a keen eye for turning complex solutions into compelling, heartfelt narratives. About Us We're Camping, a small-but-mighty brand storytelling & video agency based in Barcelona, helping B2B tech companies transform from 'boring' to heartfelt through brand & video storytelling. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a freelancer to support our ongoing projects. While this role initially covers a maternity leave, there's potential for a longer freelance engagement as our needs evolve. Have we mentioned we're trialing a 4-day workweek? The role We're seeking a Freelance Creative Marketing Strategist to join our team on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. Your core responsibility will be to lead and execute marketing strategy development for our campaigns and projects, particularly those involving video storytelling for B2B tech clients. This role requires a strategic bridge-builder who ensures creative outputs drive measurable business impact and truly "make sense" within a broader marketing context. Core Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy Development: Lead the research, analysis, and development of innovative marketing strategies for various campaigns and video projects, with a strong focus on B2B tech market dynamics and measurable business objectives.
- Briefing & Conceptualization: Translate complex B2B tech client objectives and performance insights into clear, actionable, and strategically sound creative briefs that inspire our production teams and ensure outputs 'make sense' for business goals.
- Market & Audience Insights: Conduct in-depth research on B2B tech industry trends, customer pain points, and competitor landscapes to inform data-driven strategic recommendations.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance data (including video metrics, conversion rates, and ROI) to refine future strategies and provide actionable insights to clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our internal teams (Creative Director, Video Producers, etc.) to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution.
- Presentation: Articulate and present strategic marketing concepts to internal teams and, when needed, directly to clients.
What We're Looking ForRequired Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Creative/Marketing Strategist with a strong B2B tech focus, preferably within an agency setting or working directly with B2B SaaS clients.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive marketing strategies for diverse campaigns and content formats (e.g., brand awareness, lead generation, product launches), specifically within the B2B tech sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate marketing performance data and B2B tech insights into compelling narratives and actionable strategies that drive measurable business impact.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Please refrain from applying if you do not possess an excellent English level, as it is a core requirement and we will be testing for it.
The Perfect Fit Will Also Have
- Specific experience with B2B SaaS scale-ups and understanding of their unique marketing challenges.
- A deep understanding of video content strategy, including its role in the B2B marketing funnel and measurable outcomes.
- Proven familiarity with digital marketing platforms and campaign measurement for B2B contexts.
- Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI for strategic research, insight generation, and campaign optimization.
Location This is a remote freelance position, but we prefer collaborators who are in a similar time zone or willing to adapt for effective collaboration. Proximity to Barcelona is a plus for occasional in-person meetings, but not required. Working model
