Job Description

About Bioitalia
Good food shouldn’t be a luxury.
At Bioitalia, we believe organic, high-quality food made with simple, honest ingredients should be accessible to more people, not just a niche audience. We’re a family-run brand built over three generations in Southern Italy, where food has always been about care, transparency, and doing things the right way, even when it’s harder.
We’ve just completed a major rebrand and are launching Bioitalia in the US. This is our moment to challenge how people think about organic food, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help build that movement online.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Part-Time Social Media & Content Manager to own Bioitalia’s social presence end-to-end as we enter the US market. This is a highly independent role with real creative ownership.
You’ll shape how Bioitalia shows up online every day, translating our Southern Italian roots, organic integrity, and modern rebrand into content that feels relevant, warm, and culturally fluent in the US.
This is a startup-style role. We value initiative, vision, and proactiveness over rigid processes. You should be excited by building something from the ground up and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
If you believe the food system is broken, and that brands can educate, influence, and actually make life better, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own Social, End to End
- Own Bioitalia’s social channels (primarily Instagram and TikTok, with room to expand)
- Define content pillars and build a monthly content calendar aligned with brand goals
- Tailor content formats per platform including Reels, TikTok, Stories, carousels, and short-form video
Content Creation
- Concept, shoot, edit, caption, and publish original content
- Translate brand values into simple, compelling storytelling around food, culture, process, and people
- Spot trends and adapt them in a way that feels authentic to Bioitalia
- Work with existing brand assets and evolve them thoughtfully over time
Community & Culture
- Engage with our audience daily through comments, DMs, and community interaction
- Build trust and connection, not just reach
- Participate in cultural moments where it makes sense for the brand
Performance & Optimization
- Track performance across platforms and iterate on hooks, formats, and timing
- Share clear, lightweight reporting with insights, learnings, and recommendations
- Continuously refine content based on what resonates
What We’re Looking For
- A self-starter who thrives with autonomy and ownership
- 3–6+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, startup, or food/lifestyle company
- Strong instincts for short-form video, storytelling, and visual content
- Confident filming and editing content yourself
- Excellent writing skills with a strong, natural tone of voice
- Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok trends, formats, and culture
- Passion for real food, quality ingredients, and brands with real integrity
What This Role Is (and Isn’t)
- This is a hands-on, creative, builder role with real influence on brand voice
- This is not a purely executional or approval-heavy corporate role
- This is ideal for someone who wants to grow with a brand and help shape its future
Time Commitment & Structure
- Part-time / freelance
- Estimated 15–20 hours per week to start
- Flexible schedule, with consistency expected
- Opportunity to grow the role as the brand scales
