Beyond Governance is the UK’s leading independent governance consultancy. We are trusted advisers to boards, General Counsel, Company Secretaries and senior executives across FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and AIM-listed companies.  Our expertise helps organisations strengthen governance, improve decision-making, and navigate the challenges of operating in a listed environment.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team.  This is a pivotal role in helping us connect with senior decision-makers, open new opportunities, and support the growth of our governance advisory.

The Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, identifying opportunities and qualifying leads before passing them to our senior team.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound calls, supported by email and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Researching target organisations and decision-makers to drive intelligent, value-led conversations.
  • Qualifying inbound and outbound leads to ensure strong opportunities for our Client Relationship Manager.
  • Booking high-quality meetings with executives and governance leaders.
  • Maintaining accurate records and activity in the CRM.
  • Sharing market insights and feedback with sales and marketing.
  • Representing company at in person industry events and roundtables.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently achieving and exceeding activity and meeting targets.
  • Building professional rapport with senior stakeholders (General Counsel, Company Secretary, Board Members).
  • Delivering a reliable flow of qualified opportunities to the sales team.
  • Supporting the commercial success of a fast-growing governance consultancy.

About You

We’re looking for someone proactive, professional, and commercially driven. You’ll ideally bring:

  • 2 years previous experience in outbound prospecting.
  • Proven ability in cold calling, email outreach and lead qualification.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with senior executives.
  • Self-motivated, results driven and eager to learn.
  • Resilience, energy, and a results-focused approach.
  • The ability to balance persistence with professionalism in outreach.
  • Successfully worked in a remote & distributed environment.
  • Experience with sales enablement tools, such as data enrichment services and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
