Content SEO Strategist

Our client is looking to add a Content-SEO Strategist to their team. This is a 6+ month contract with the potential to extend and would be remote working EST hours. This is a part-time role, working 25 hours per week, and must be available during regular business hours.

This strategic role will focus on auditing, optimizing, and repositioning their existing content library, optimizing content for both traditional search engines and emerging LLM (Larger Language Model) powered search experiences. This role will largely focus on improving search performance of our legacy blog, enhancing organic visibility and user experinece, in partnership with their content marketing and SEO leads.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Content Audit & Optimization ● Conduct comprehensive audit of 750+ blog URLs, analyzing performance metrics, search rankings, and content quality ● Optimize and rewrite ~375 high-value blog posts using Jasper AI and other content optimization tools ● Implement data-driven content improvements based on search performance and user metrics

SEO Strategy & Implementation ● Develop and execute topic cluster strategies in collaboration with the SEO team ● Optimize content for both traditional search engines and emerging LLM-powered search experiences ● Implement technical SEO improvements and blog UX updates within WordPress LLM & Martech Integration ● Leverage new martech tools to optimize content for LLM query responses ● Stay current with AI-powered search trends and adjust content strategy accordingly ● Implement best practices for brand visibility in AI-generated search results

Required Qualifications Technical Expertise ● 5+ years of experience in content marketing and SEO strategy ● Deep understanding of SEO/GEO best practices and current algorithm updates ● Proficiency with WordPress, including content management and UX implementation ● Experience with AI content tools and martech platforms ● Knowledge of content audit methodologies and performance analysis

Strategic Skills ● Understanding of latest strategies to increase brand visibility in LLMs and AI-powered search ● Experience developing topic clusters and content pillars for SEO ● Ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies

Communication & Collaboration ● Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail ● Strong project management abilities to handle large-scale content initiatives ● Experience collaborating with SEO, marketing, and product teams ● Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
