Digital Marketing / Demand Generation Associate or ManagerPosition Summary
Basis is seeking a data-driven Digital Marketing / Demand Generation Associate or Manager to own and scale our paid digital acquisition and SEO programs. This role is critical to revenue growth and will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on digital marketer with deep expertise in paid advertising, especially Google Ads, as well as paid social and display campaigns. They also bring strong SEO experience, including modern optimization for AI-powered search and discovery.
This role blends strategy, execution, optimization, and analytics, with direct accountability for traffic quality, pipeline generation, and ROI. Core Focus Areas (in order of priority):
- Paid Digital Advertising & Demand Generation
- SEO & Organic / AI Search Optimization
- Conversion Rate Optimization & Funnel Performance
- Analytics, Attribution & Reporting
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Campaign Execution
Key Responsibilities:Paid Digital Advertising (Primary Focus)
Own strategy, execution, and optimization of paid digital campaigns across:
- Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max)
- Paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and emerging platforms as relevant)
- Display, retargeting, and remarketing
- Manage monthly and quarterly paid media budgets, including forecasting, pacing, and ROI optimization
Develop and continuously optimize:
- Campaign structure, keywords, audiences, creatives, bids, and landing pages
- Implement and maintain conversion tracking, tagging, and attribution models
- Run ongoing A/B and multivariate testing across ads, landing pages, and funnels
- Monitor performance daily and adjust campaigns to improve CPA, CPL, ROAS, and pipeline impact
SEO & Organic / AI Search Optimization (Second Priority)
Own and execute SEO strategy across one or more websites:
- Conduct keyword research and search intent analysis for Traditional search engines and AI-driven search and discovery (e.g., Google SGE, LLMs, answer engines)
Optimize on-page, technical, and content SEO, including:
- Metadata, internal linking, site structure, schema/structured data
- Content optimized for featured snippets, AI summaries, and conversational queries
- Partner with content and product marketing to create search-optimized, authoritative content
- Build and maintain high-quality backlink and authority strategies
- Track and report on organic search performance, rankings, traffic, and conversions
Conversion Optimization & Funnel Performance
Optimize conversion paths across:
- Ads → landing pages → forms → MQLs → pipeline
- Design and improve:
- Landing pages, CTAs, lead forms, and content offers
- Partner with sales and marketing ops to improve lead quality and conversion rates
- Continuously test and refine messaging, offers, and user experience
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
Measure and report performance using tools such as:
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn dashboards
- CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Define KPIs that clearly connect digital programs to revenue outcomes
- Create regular performance reports and insights for marketing leadership
- Use data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement — not just report metrics
Collaboration & Campaign Execution
Work closely with:
- Product Marketing
- Content and Creative
- Business Development / Sales
- Website and Design
- Coordinate campaign launches across multiple stakeholders
- Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all digital channels
- Stay current on digital marketing trends, platforms, tools, and best practices
Qualifications & Experience:RequiredExpert-level experience in paid digital advertising, with deep hands-on experience in:
- Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max)
- Paid social platforms (LinkedIn required; Meta, YouTube preferred)
- Proven SEO experience, including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, and performance tracking
- Experience managing five-figure (or larger) monthly paid media budgetsStrong understanding of:
- Performance marketing and demand generation
- Conversion rate optimization and funnel management
- Attribution models and measurement
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, ad platforms, CRM)
- Ability to translate data into insights and action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Other:
- Fluency in English - speaking, writing, reading
Preferred / Plus
- Experience optimizing content for AI search, SGE, and LLM-based discovery
- Experience with HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar CRM / marketing automation platforms
- Familiarity with:
- Programmatic media buying
- Content syndication
- Advanced testing frameworks
- Experience with creative tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- B2B demand generation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
