Community Manager / Social Media Marketing Coordinator
Freelance | Part-time Contract | Remote (Europe time zone preferred)

BARNES Yachting is looking for an experienced freelance Community Manager / Social Media Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of our social media activity.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role working closely with the Director of Marketing. You will be responsible for publishing, scheduling, and managing organic content across our key platforms, ensuring everything is on-brand, consistent, and delivered to a premium standard.
This role suits a highly organised freelancer who understands luxury or lifestyle brands and can turn clear direction into polished social content.
What you’ll do
• Publish and schedule organic content across Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
• Instagram: around 3 posts per week (Reels, carousels, lifestyle content)
• LinkedIn: broker posts, Yacht of the Month features, and thought leadership content
• Format captions, hashtags, tags and posting times correctly for each platform
• Repurpose approved photos, videos and copy into social-ready formats
• Coordinate short-form video content (basic editing or working with editors)
• Manage content calendars and deadlines
• Monitor comments and messages and respond to basic enquiries
• Flag leads or sensitive messages to the internal team
• Support brokers with publishing content under agreed frameworks
• Track basic performance metrics and provide a simple monthly summary
What this role is (and isn’t)
This role is about execution, not strategy.
You will not be responsible for marketing strategy, paid media, or budgets.
You will be working under clear direction, not operating as a standalone marketing lead.
About you
• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in social media, content or community management
• Experience with luxury, lifestyle, travel, yachting or real estate is a strong plus
• Confident using Instagram and LinkedIn professionally
• Detail-oriented, organised, and reliable with deadlines
• Comfortable working independently with senior stakeholders
• Strong written English (Additional: French, Spanish or Italian a bonus)
Tools & skills
• Social scheduling tools such as Social Pilot, Later or Meta Business Suite
• Basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar)
• Familiar with LinkedIn company pages and publishing tools
Contract details
• Freelance / contract role
• Part-time, monthly retainer (based on scope and experience)
