Job Description

As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will lead acquisition strategy and execution across paid search, paid social, and display for four high-visibility brands including Final Draft, FilmFreeway, ShareGrid, and Voice123. You will own the full media mix—including budget management, forecasting, optimization, testing frameworks, attribution improvement, and funnel performance. This role is extremely hands-on: you will personally manage campaigns, diagnose performance issues, partner with data teams on measurement, and drive meaningful improvements to ROAS, LTV:CAC, and marginal efficiency.

You will also help mature our performance infrastructure—ensuring clean tracking, reliable audience flows, standardized naming conventions, and rigorous experiment design.

What you will do

  • Manage and optimize campaigns daily across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other kay partners
  • Own forecasting, pacing, budget allocation, and optimization for high-scale monthly budgets..
  • Work with data team to audit GTM, Amplitude, and Looker, including clean UTMs and consistent event schemas.
  • Use Hightouch to push audiences, product feeds, and event data into ad platforms for improved targeting and conversion accuracy.
  • Improve funnel performance with systematic A/B tests for ad creative, landing pages, and offers.
  • Produce clear and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on spend, ROAS, CAC, LTV:CAC, marginal efficiency, and channel performance and campaign performance by brand.
  • Manage the entire marketing funnel from prospecting to conversion.
  • Manage agency partners and technology vendors; evaluate cost-effectiveness and negotiate rates.
  • Document and communicate with the broader marketing team to ensure repeat wins.

What you have

  • 7+ years in performance marketing with proven ownership of 7-figure monthly budgets.
  • Deep hands-on experience in Meta Ads and Google Ads, dynamic product ads, PMAX, Advantage+, remarketing, and feed-based campaigns and setup.
  • Strong analytics skills in Amplitude and Looker, comfort with incrementality and performance marketing based upon business margins.
  • A desire to understand user flows and events.
  • Experience with audience activation and conversion data flows via Hightouch or similar.
  • People leadership experience a plus, but this role requires strong individual execution.

Tool stack

  • Meta Ads, Google Ads, GTM, Amplitude, Looker, Hightouch, Redshift, Sheets/Excel, landing page testing tools

Success in 90 days

  • Clean account structures and naming conventions across brands
  • Weekly ROAS and LTV:CAC dashboards published and trusted
  • Measurable lift in conversion rate or CAC improvement on at least one priority funnel per brand

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
