Role Overview
American Farmers Network is seeking a motivated, highly organized Marketing Specialist (1–3 years experience) to support the execution and coordination of marketing initiatives across both B2B and B2C channels. This is a new role on a newly formed marketing team, reporting into the director of marketing and senior marketing leadership. The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in helping build AFN’s marketing foundation from the ground up, supporting initiatives that span brand, ecommerce, retail, foodservice, CRM, paid media, experiential, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and energized by variety. You are comfortable managing timelines, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and keeping work moving forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Marketing & Brand Support
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, ecommerce, retail, PR, trade, and experiential channels.
- Assist in bringing AFN’s brand story to life across consumer and customer touchpoints.
- Ensure brand consistency in messaging, visuals, and tone across all materials and channels.
Content, Channels & CRM Execution
- Manage and maintain content calendars across key channels (social, email, website), ensuring timely execution and alignment with campaign priorities.
- Support development of marketing assets including social posts, email content, website updates, sell sheets, videos, digital ads, and presentation decks.
- Assist with CRM initiatives including email campaigns, triggered communications, and list management.
- Help track and summarize channel and CRM performance metrics to inform learning and optimization.
Paid Media & Influencer Support
- Support paid media initiatives across paid search, paid social, display, online video, CTV, and streaming audio.
- Assist with influencer identification, outreach coordination, content approvals, and performance tracking.
- Support performance reporting and summarization of results.
B2B Marketing, Trade & Experiential
- Support development and updates of B2B sales materials including sell sheets, presentations, one-pagers, and product overviews.
- Assist with marketing support for retail, distributor, and foodservice partners.
- Help plan and execute trade shows, sampling programs, pop-ups, and experiential activations.
- Coordinate logistics, materials, and timelines for events and customer-specific initiatives.
Packaging, Creative & Asset Coordination
- Support packaging and labeling initiatives, including coordination with design partners and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with version control, approvals, and production timelines.
- Help maintain organized brand and creative asset libraries.
Marketing Operations & Project Coordination
- Manage project timelines and workflows for marketing initiatives, ensuring tasks stay on track across internal teams and external partners.
- Coordinate deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines, proactively flagging risks and escalating issues as needed.
- Capture and summarize meeting notes, key decisions, and action items to ensure clarity, accountability, and follow-through.
- Maintain project documentation including timelines, status updates, and action logs.
- Coordinate with external partners (ad agencies, freelancers, vendors) on asset delivery, timelines, and campaign inputs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of marketing experience; experience in CPG, food & beverage, agriculture, or natural products is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as ecommerce systems, CRM/email platforms, social media tools, and analytics dashboards.
- Basic experience with design or content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
- Passion for food, agriculture, sustainability, or mission-driven brands is a bonus.
