WordPress Developer

Responsibilities:

• Implement WordPress updates, core modifications, theme upgrades, and plugin enhancements.
• Perform performance tuning, caching (W3 Total Cache, WP Rocket), and DB optimization.
• Develop and test custom modules and site features per agency requirements.
• Integrate REST APIs including burial databases and external content sources.
• Manage source code via Azure DevOps and support DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot functional and integration issues; support disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure all WordPress components adhere to ABMC's security, accessibility, and branding standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of WordPress development experience in enterprise or federal environments.
• Experience with Elementor Pro, ACF Pro, Yoast SEO, and WPForms.
• Familiarity with Azure Web App Services, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure CDN.
• Understanding of security hardening, compliance, and accessibility requirements.
• Strong PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS skills.

Certifications:

• WordPress Certification (via WP Academy or similar recognized platforms)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) - for Azure-hosted WordPress
• CIW Web Development Professional - for front-end/back-end coding

Security+ (CompTIA) - to align with NIST/cybersecurity patching & compliance
