Trump Rejects BBC Apology

US President Donald Trump has rejected the British Broadcasting Corporation's apology and has raised the stakes in his potential lawsuit against the media giant by threatening to sue it for $7.7 billion.

The embattled broadcaster last week offered the president an apology and promised not to replay a program which had spliced together two sections of a Trump speech and made it look like he had incited supporters to riot at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021 to try and overturn the result of the 2020 election he lost.
