Shocking Liquidation Forces Residents Out of Blairgowrie Holiday Park Lodges!

Owners living at Bendochy Park in Blairgowrie have received an order from the council to vacate their lodges. Heritage Park Estates Ltd, the company operating the park, has been placed in liquidation, and Thomson Cooper has been appointed as the liquidator.
Residents have been informed that they must leave their lodges by December 2026, a decision they are determined to contest. Scottish Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has expressed his support for the residents in their ongoing dispute.
Heritage Park Estates Liquidation
Heritage Park Estates Ltd was officially liquidated following a winding-up order passed at a recent general meeting. The chair, Isaac McKenzie, stated that the company cannot continue its business due to its liabilities.
Long-Running Dispute
In March 2022, Heritage Park Estates was granted permission to build 43 lodges and 10 glamping pods on the site of a former poultry farm, conditional on these units being used solely for holiday accommodation. However, in August, the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) ruled that the site owner misled the public into believing the homes were permanent residences.
Now, occupants of five of the new homes have appealed the council's enforcement notices that require them to vacate by 2026. Despite the situation, the directors of Bendochy and Heritage Park Estates did not respond to requests for comment.
A spokesperson from Perth and Kinross Council stated that they aim to work with the new owners to resolve the ongoing issues and that notices have been served to prevent the properties from being used as permanent residences. A longer compliance period has been established to support existing residents.
