Ritz Takes Center Stage: Mondelēz's Bold Move for Super Bowl 2025

Ritz Crackers Shine in Super Bowl Ad
A Super Bowl spread is only as good as the cracker holding it! This year, Ritz crackers are making their debut in the Super Bowl advertiser lineup with a 30-second spot created by The Martin Agency, directed by Jake Szymanski (known for Funny or Die and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), and produced by Gifted Youth and PXP.
Mondelēz, the parent company of Ritz, aims to present a fresh perspective to younger audiences about this 90-year-old classic. The ad will be supported by paid media, along with retail and social media promotions.
“On a day where our products will be served on party platters nationwide, it seemed only fitting for us to finally make an appearance on the big screen too,” said Steven Saenen, Ritz's VP of marketing. “This ad buy marks a significant milestone in our journey to transform how fans view the Ritz brand.”
Previous Super Bowl Ventures
Mondelēz is no stranger to the Super Bowl. Last year, they featured Oreo in a memorable ad that showcased how the cookie can influence life choices. The Oreo ad ranked No. 33 among the 59 commercials in the 2024 USA Today Ad Meter.
The Price of Fame
A 30-second ad during Fox's broadcast of Super Bowl 59 is estimated to cost at least $7 million. Fox has confirmed that it has already sold out its inventory for the game at record prices.
“An integral part of that strategy is to ensure our presence on the right platforms,” mentioned Tanya Berman, Mondelēz's SVP of biscuits.
