Publicis Groupe Expands LePub Worldwide: New York Launch and Future Plans

Publicis Groupe Takes LePub Global

Publicis Groupe is expanding its boutique agency network LePub globally, marking its initial entry into the U.S. market. The New York office will be the first U.S. hub, adding to LePub’s existing locations in Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Milan, Mexico City, Rome, São Paulo, and Singapore. Plans for offices in Bogotá, Dubai, and London are set for 2025.

Founding Clients and Leadership

Upon opening on January 1, the New York office will kick off with Barilla and Heineken as its founding clients. A newly appointed management team will report to Bruno Bertelli, LePub's global CEO, alongside Susie Nam, CEO of Publicis Creative U.S.

Lea Mastroberti has been appointed as the president of the New York office, previously leading account management at Accenture Song and working with Droga5. Katy Alonzo, chief strategy officer at Publicis sibling Le Truc, will also take on the CSO role at LePub New York, while Cecilia Diaz, formerly of Anomaly, will head strategy.

Future Growth and Client Roster

LePub debuted in November 2020 and boasts a diverse client roster including brands like Bottega Veneta, Diesel, Heineken, Philips, Tecate, Tiger, and Toblerone. Their innovative approach also features a tech-based division called LeGarage.

Carla Serrano, Publicis Groupe CSO, emphasized the importance of staying relevant in a rapidly changing digital landscape, stating, "LePub nimbly blends global and hyperlocal trends with emerging innovation to create notable consumer connections." Bertelli described the New York opening as a significant milestone, with plans to expand into Latin America and EMEA by early 2025, creating a network of 10 offices focused on imaginative and impactful work.
