Orangetheory's Bold New Ad Campaign: Embracing Inclusive Fitness for Everyone

A New Era for Orangetheory Fitness

Orangetheory Fitness is making waves with its latest campaign, “Every Reason is the Right Reason,” aimed at promoting a more inclusive fitness experience. This initiative marks the beginning of a refreshed brand strategy that encompasses a vibrant new color palette and updated digital designs, enhancing the atmosphere both in-studio and across digital platforms.

The 60-second ad spot celebrates the diverse motivations behind working out at Orangetheory, from preparing for special life events to personal fitness journeys. David Chriswick, Senior Vice President of Brand and Communications, emphasizes the campaign's focus on celebrating community diversity and meeting individuals where they are in their fitness journeys.

Revamped Brand Identity

The new branding strategy includes not only television and digital advertising but also a comprehensive redesign within studios and retail spaces. While keeping its iconic splat logo, Orangetheory will update its color palette, typography, and iconography, embracing a warmer and more energized photographic style.

The rollout of these updates will be gradual, beginning with marketing and digital experiences, including their website, followed by further enhancements in-studio as part of a phased approach.

Adapting to New Fitness Trends

In light of shifting consumer preferences post-pandemic, Chriswick highlights the importance of staying fresh and relevant in the fitness industry. In-person group fitness has rebounded, but the landscape has evolved with new alternatives and changing consumer expectations.

A Fitness Giant's Evolution

Founded in 2010 by CEO Dave Long, Orangetheory has grown into a leading fitness brand with its heart-rate-based group workouts. Recently, it has expanded its offerings to include Strength 50 and Tread 50 classes, promoting a more inclusive workout environment.

The new branding follows Orangetheory's merger with Anytime Fitness, leading to the creation of Purpose Brands, which aims to expand the brand's reach globally. Chriswick notes that the campaign is designed to be a long-term platform that addresses various strategic needs, including storytelling and highlighting the unique aspects of Orangetheory's offerings.

This campaign has been developed through Orangetheory's in-house agency, Spark Studio, in collaboration with creative partners, ensuring a comprehensive approach to branding that resonates with their audience.
