Carly Yanco has officially taken the helm as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of ING Australia, marking a significant leadership transition following Danielle Hamilton's departure after a impactful three-year tenure.
Yanco, who initially joined ING in May 2019 as the Head of Brand, has steadily climbed the ranks, most recently serving as Chief of Staff for the past 18 months. Her promotion in June underscores her deep understanding of the brand and strategic vision for its future.
Before her time at ING, Yanco honed her expertise at J Walter Thompson Worldwide for over four years, culminating in her role as Head of Strategy. Her extensive background also includes more than eight years with Burson-Marsteller, showcasing her versatility and depth in marketing and communications.
Danielle Hamilton, whose exit was confirmed by an ING spokesperson, had been with the company since her appointment as Head of Brand and Marketing, later ascending to CMO in July 2022. Her career spans notable stints at Samsung Australia and Chobani in New York, alongside agency roles at Anomaly and Ogilvy & Mather in the US.
The marketing team at ING is undergoing dynamic changes, with Luke Tucker recently stepping into the role of Head of Product and Customer Marketing. Tucker brings a wealth of experience from his time as a Marketing and CX Business Advisor at Salesforce and senior roles at Citi, complemented by his agency-side expertise with DDB Group Australia and McCann Worldgroup.
While rumors of a broader marketing team restructure circulate, ING has chosen not to comment, keeping the focus on its current leadership transitions and strategic direction.
