A Rising Star in Copywriting and Communications
A Margate-based copywriting and communications company has been making waves, earning prestigious awards in quick succession. Red and White Media Limited was honored as the South England Prestige Awards 2025/26 winner in the 'Copywriting Service of the Year' category in August.
In September, Director Vikkie Richmond achieved the 'Highly Commended' runner-up position in the 'Copywriter of the Year' category at the Digital Women Awards 2025.

Building a Business from the Ground Up
Founded in 2023, Red and White Media offers specialist communications knowledge to a diverse clientele, including sole traders, small businesses, and larger organizations across the UK. Vikkie Richmond expressed her excitement, stating, "I'm absolutely thrilled to bits that Red and White Media has been recognized in this way. Starting a new business from the ground up is so hard, so it's fantastic to be acknowledged for the work we do in only our second year of trading."
She emphasized the importance of communication, noting, "Communications is a vital part of any business, and whether you're talking to colleagues or clients, it's essential to get it right."
Expanding Services and Client Base
Since its official launch in November 2024, the company has collaborated with clients across various sectors, from individual entrepreneurs to franchised small businesses and an international hospitality chain. They provide specialist support to internal communications teams, directors, marketing leads, and small business owners aiming for a more strategic approach to engaging with staff, clients, and customers.
Vikkie shared insights into their evolution: "We started life as copywriters who also offered social media and digital marketing services to small businesses in the local area. In my day-to-day communications with clients, networking colleagues, and peers, I realized that many larger firms are facing budget constraints and recruitment issues. This means they're swamped with work and aren't able to communicate as effectively as they would like with their internal audiences."
She identified an opportunity to diversify, leading to a partnership with an international hospitality client as fractional internal communications specialists.
Professional Background and Community Involvement
Vikkie brings a rich background to her work; she is a copywriter and social media marketer with prior experience in corporate administration. This is her second business venture, having previously managed a successful virtual assistant franchise in East Kent for five years until November last year.
Her credentials include Associate-level membership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC), with a specialization in tone-of-voice and brand-led communication. Additionally, she is a founder member of Digital Women, a Kent-based organization that supports and empowers women in digital and tech industries through training, networking, and recognition.
In recognition of her contributions, Vikkie received a 'Community Champion' award at the Digital Women Awards 2025 for her support and promotion of the DW community.
