Flow Group's Acquisition of Modern Bookbinders

A Yorkshire mailing house and print marketing specialist, The Flow Group, has made a significant move by acquiring Modern Bookbinders, a Blackburn-based manufacturing business with a rich history spanning 95 years. This acquisition was finalized this month for an undisclosed sum.

The primary goal of this acquisition is to ensure that Modern Bookbinders' customers continue to receive top-notch services while simultaneously enhancing The Flow Group's manufacturing capacity. Modern Bookbinders is renowned for producing a variety of products including magazine binders, loose-leaf binders, slipcases, and achievement folders for educational institutions.

Diverse Clientele

The firm caters to a wide range of clients, from individual customers to large organizations, including Manchester United. The acquisition encompasses the entire operation of Modern Bookbinders, which includes machinery, equipment, stock, and a comprehensive client list.

Preserving Heritage

The business was put up for sale by its managing director and owner, Warren Eastwood. Richard Standing, managing director of The Flow Group, expressed pride in preserving the legacy of Modern Bookbinders, stating, "We are incredibly proud to carry forward the legacy of Modern Bookbinders. Warren Eastwood will continue to contribute to the business by remaining on the board in a consultancy role.
