The purchase of Modern Bookbinders includes the firm’s entire operation: machinery, equipment, stock, and its client list. This strategic move strengthens The Flow Group’s position in the market and preserves a significant piece of history.

Specialization and Clientele

Modern Bookbinders specializes in producing magazine and loose-leaf binders, slipcases, and record of achievement folders for schools. Their diverse clientele ranges from individuals preserving personal collections to larger organizations, including Manchester United. They also cater to numerous schools across the UK and have a substantial market share in France.

Historical Background

Founded in 1930 by a Blackburn solicitor, Modern Bookbinders has been a staple in the community. After World War II, it was acquired by Warren Eastwood's grandfather, ensuring its legacy continued.

Future Plans

Plans are underway to reconfigure The Flow Group’s premises to integrate key team members, including a production manager with 42 years of experience. Warren Eastwood will also remain as a consultant to assist with the transition.
