About The Role The Social Media Specialist is an entry-level role designed to support the execution and management of Zones' social media presence across various platforms. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the company's digital footprint by creating engaging content, fostering community interaction, and ensuring brand consistency. Reporting to the Director of Global Marketing, the successful candidate will collaborate with global and regional marketing teams to amplify campaigns, promote partner activities, and showcase thought leadership. The role offers a remote working environment based in the United States, with a preferred location in Chicago. The Social Media Specialist will contribute to the development of content strategies, monitor social media performance, and support the execution of marketing initiatives that align with Zones' brand and go-to-market priorities. This position involves up to 25% travel and offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and innovative company focused on technology and digital transformation. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent early career experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience managing or supporting social media for a brand, agency, or internship
- Strong interest in B2B marketing, technology, and digital content creation
- Basic understanding of LinkedIn and other professional social media platforms
- Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers and content creators
- Familiarity with social media analytics and performance tracking tools
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of social media activities aligned with Zones’ global go-to-market strategy across various segments including Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB, and Retail QSR
- Assist in publishing content that promotes campaigns, product launches, events, and services messaging
- Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual standards across all social platforms
- Contribute ideas to enhance content relevance, engagement, and overall social media strategy
- Manage day-to-day social media channel activities, including scheduling and publishing posts
- Create and support the development of written, visual, and short-form video content based on briefs and templates
- Engage with followers by monitoring comments, reactions, and messages, escalating issues when necessary
- Maintain organized content calendars and ensure timely content delivery
- Support promotion of partner campaigns, events, and announcements through social media channels
- Assist global and regional marketing teams with campaign-specific social media execution
- Highlight customer stories, case studies, and internal achievements for social media use
- Track social media performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth
- Compile regular performance reports and dashboards to assess and improve social media strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support event coverage and key company moments
