About The Role

The Content Strategist is a vital client-facing position responsible for managing day-to-day client deliverables, developing tailored marketing strategies, and maintaining strong communication channels with clients and internal teams. This role primarily handles enterprise-level accounts, requiring a deep understanding of the service line and its impact on broader business objectives. Internally titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO, the ideal candidate will utilize their expertise to craft comprehensive strategies that align with client goals, optimize performance, and ensure measurable success. The strategist will work closely with Associate Directors, content writers, designers, and project managers to execute campaigns effectively, monitor progress, and adapt strategies based on data insights and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining client relationships and owning stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana
  • Agency experience, particularly with B2B technology and SaaS clients
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy
  • Knowledge of industry tools including Screaming Frog and crawling tools
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends, including AI and automation applications in marketing
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized content and SEO strategies that align with client goals and industry best practices
  • Create comprehensive project plans, set measurable goals, and monitor progress using data from multiple sources including Google Analytics, CRM systems, SEMRush, and Ahrefs
  • Collaborate with content writers, designers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content campaigns
  • Manage client relationships by proactively communicating project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics
  • Build strong internal and external communication channels to facilitate seamless project execution and reporting
  • Regularly report on strategy performance through bi-weekly meetings, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reviews, including business review presentations
  • Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals, maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and retention
  • Partner with project managers where applicable to ensure task delegation, due date adherence, and overall project success
  • Stay informed about industry trends, including emerging AI and automation tools, to enhance strategy effectiveness and operational efficiency
