About The Role
The Digital Marketing Specialist at WES plays a vital role in executing and enhancing the organization’s digital marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital and Partner Marketing, this position is responsible for managing day-to-day digital marketing activities, including search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and emerging search technologies such as GEO and AI-driven searchability strategies. The role involves analyzing campaign performance, generating reports with actionable insights, and collaborating across teams to produce digital assets for various channels. The specialist will support high-impact projects such as webinars, conferences, podcasts, and e-commerce initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. This position requires a proactive and strategic thinker capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment, contributing to WES’s mission of expanding access to global educational and professional pathways.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a marketing specialist or in a similar digital marketing role
- Strong understanding of SEM, SEO, GEO strategies, and digital analytics tools (Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager)
- Experience in gathering and interpreting customer experience data
- Knowledge of online customer engagement platforms and channels
- Exceptional interpersonal and client-centered skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with digital user experience and technology platforms

- Support GEO and AI-driven search optimization initiatives to future-proof WES’s digital presence and expand global reach
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with content teams to develop digital marketing assets for websites, paid ads, and social media channels
- Coordinate logistics, asset creation, and post-event reporting for webinars, conferences, and other virtual events
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing WES’s podcast series, ensuring timely delivery and cross-team collaboration
- Support e-commerce transformation projects by aligning marketing strategies with new platform capabilities
- Review and troubleshoot Google Tag Manager tags to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Execute, schedule, and monitor email marketing campaigns to enhance engagement and outreach
