Senior SEO Consultant – Shopify & eCommerce

Webprofits is a performance-led digital agency helping ambitious ecommerce brands grow fast through organic search. We're now hiring a Senior SEO Consultant to lead strategy and execution across some of the most exciting Shopify-powered DTC and challenger brands.

You’ll scale organic visibility not just through traditional search, but also through modern discovery and shopping surfaces — including Google Shopping (free listings), YouTube, AI Overviews, and Search Generative Experiences (SGE).

We’re investing in Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) as part of our forward-thinking approach to search, and you’ll play a role in shaping how our clients stay visible as the search landscape evolves.

This role is built for someone who loves owning both the strategy and the results — combining content-led SEO, technical implementation, and Shopify-specific best practices — while mentoring others and contributing to internal capability uplift.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior SEO Consultant, you’ll lead organic strategy across a portfolio of high-growth ecommerce clients. Your work will directly impact traffic, rankings, and revenue — from planning and execution to performance reporting and ongoing optimisation.

You’ll be responsible for scaling organic visibility not just through traditional search, but also across platforms like Google Shopping (free listings), YouTube, social discovery, and AI-powered search experiences — driving diversified organic revenue growth across every opportunity available.

This role is built for someone who loves owning both the strategy and the results, and can confidently bring together content-led SEO, technical implementation, and platform-specific best practices (particularly Shopify).

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Client portfolio across Shopify, SEO ecommerce clients with the opportunity to work across other digital marketing disciplines
• Content-led growth strategy including briefs and content performance
• Technical SEO recommendations tailored to Shopify’s platform and limitations
• Diversified organic growth, including Shopping feeds, Discover, AI Overviews, and SGE
• Client consulting: lead strategy sessions, roadmap development, execution and reporting
• Performance tracking and impact analysis tied to revenue, conversion value and lifetime value
• Cross-functional collaboration with Paid and CRO leads to align full-funnel strategy

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience in SEO for ecommerce brands, ideally on Shopify
• Deep understanding of content strategy, search intent, and performance frameworks
• Strong hands-on skills across technical SEO, product feed optimisation, and structured data/schema
• Experience working with or integrating organic shopping feeds (Google Merchant Center)
• Strategic thinker with a growth mindset — you care about the result, not just the deliverable
• Excellent communicator, able to simplify insights for stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams
