Remote | 9–12 Month Maternity Cover | Starting May 2026
We are seeking an experienced, creative and commercially aware Senior Social Media Manager to join our team on a part-time maternity cover contract (9–12 months from May 2026).
This role requires someone who understands how to grow and manage business social media channels strategically, not just execute content, but identify trends, create high-performing video and image content, build community, and optimise for reach and engagement.
You will take ownership of planning, creating and managing content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for business accounts.
Reporting to: Marketing Director
About You: You are proactive, commercially aware, organised and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. You stay ahead of trends but understand brand consistency and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, creating and scheduling high-quality social media content
- Producing engaging short-form video and image-based content
- Social media trend research and implementation
- Broadcast channel management
- Community management (comments, DMs, engagement)
- Monitoring performance and delivering monthly reporting and insights
- Optimising content and channels for growth and reach
- Tracking KPIs including engagement, reach, follower growth and conversions
- Supporting strategic content planning aligned with wider marketing goals
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience in social media management (agency or brand-side)
- Demonstrable experience growing social media channels
- Proven examples of high-performing or large-reach/viral content
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn best practices
- Confident creating and editing short-form video content
- Experience analysing performance data and adapting content accordingly
- Experience collaborating with paid social campaigns is advantageous.
Technical Skills Required
- Experience using social media scheduling tools
- Video and photo editing software
- Strong social media copywriting skills
Contract Details
- Part-time (24 hours per week) Working hours to be agreed within standard business hours, Monday–Friday (9:00am–5:30pm)
- Remote/home-based
- 9–12 month fixed-term maternity cover
- Start date: May 2026
- Salary: £18,000 per annum (pro rata based on £30,000 FTE)
- Must have own equipment
