Customer Marketing Manager
Valant is a market-leading, web-based clinical EHR and Practice Management solution built exclusively for behavioral health. Our mission is to provide technology and services that connect behavioral health patients and providers, when and how they need care, with tools that improve outcomes for all. We’re seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join us as we transform the industry.
As the Customer Marketing Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of install base marketing—from product launch communications and feature adoption to upsell programs and customer advocacy. Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing and working closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, you will keep Valant’s customers engaged, informed, and growing. This is a hands-on role for a mid-career marketer who operates autonomously, brings strategic thinking to execution, and uses AI as a core part of how the work gets done.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead customer communications for product launches, ensuring customers are informed and positioned to adopt new capabilities
- Build and manage upsell and expansion campaigns that drive awareness and conversion of add-on products among the existing customer base
- Own recurring install base programs including the customer newsletter, webinars, and review and reputation management
- Develop a steady pipeline of customer stories and testimonials that support competitive positioning and sales enablement
- Manage outage and maintenance communications with speed and clarity
- Track and report on campaign performance, using data to continuously improve outcomes
- Lead the adoption of AI across customer marketing workflows to increase throughput and campaign quality
- Proactively identify new opportunities to engage and grow the customer base, and bring forward ideas with a plan to execute
- Maintain documentation and process playbooks so programs are scalable and resilient
The Skills & Experience You Bring:
- 5+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with a demonstrated track record owning customer or lifecycle marketing programs independently.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation, email, and in-app messaging platforms
- Strong writer who can produce on-brand copy without relying on a copywriter
- Data-fluent: comfortable analyzing campaign performance and translating insights into decisions
- Actively AI-savvy, with daily use of AI tools and a clear point of view on how AI should shape this role
- Highly autonomous, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to drive projects from idea through measurement
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
Success in Year 1 Looks Like…
- Product Launches Land Cleanly – Every launch has a documented communication plan and measurable adoption outcomes that meet or exceed targets
- Upsell Pipeline is Active and Tracked – A rolling calendar of upsell campaigns is live across primary add-on products, with clear performance tracking and measurable contribution to expansion bookings
- Install Base Communications Run Like Clockwork – Core programs are consistently executed, well-documented, and improving in engagement over time
- AI is Embedded in How the Work Gets Done – AI has been systematically introduced into campaign workflows, with documented gains in throughput and output quality
- Customer Stories Are a Living Asset – A steady pipeline of case studies and testimonials is actively maintained and in use across sales and marketing
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation package, including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision premiums and HSA contributions
- Generous paid time off policy
- 401k
- The chance to drive an important industry forward through next-generation technology
- Ability to work remotely
This position can be 100% remote in the US, but candidates must be located in one of the following US states: California, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, or Washington state.
