Company Description

Since 2017, Unyoked has been on a mission to get more people out to nature, more often. Founded by twin brothers Cam and Chris Grant, we've grown to 130+ architect-designed off-grid cabins in secluded, immersive locations within around 1-3 hours of major cities across Australia, NZ and the UK.

We're a category-defining brand that's collaborated with Matthew McConaughey, founded our own record label with Apple, and partnered with AllTrails to publish groundbreaking research on nature's impact on wellbeing.

Role Description

We're looking for a Social & Video Content Creator to own our social media.

This role can be based in Aus or the UK and we're genuinely flexible on how it's structured; full-time, part-time, contractor, freelancer.

That said, we'd prefer one dedicated person over a split arrangement or agency.

This role is for a maker; someone who produces content, primarily video, that genuinely connects with people. We're looking for someone who can take a strategic direction and deliver strong content independently. You'll be responsible for our social channels, content output, and community.

Working with our Head of Marketing, you'll help scale our organic output across Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms, turning ideas, research, blogs, rituals and campaigns into consistent, high-performing social content.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own social content: ideation, video and carousel production, management, community engagement, and publishing.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with brand campaigns, seasonal moments, and editorial themes.
  • Work proactively. You identify stories worth telling and bring them to life without waiting for a brief.
  • Embrace experimentation. Test formats, learn from what works, and maintain a bias toward action. We value progress over perfection.
  • The role includes the opportunity of visit cabins and producing content on location.

What We're Looking ForProduction skills:

  • Strong short-form video editor with a natural eye for pacing and storytelling
  • Ability to produce quality work at pace, from concept through to publishing
  • Range across both short-form and long-form content
  • Comfort using Figma for design work is a plus

Strategic mindset:

  • You understand where social sits in the marketing funnel and care about performance as much as creative
  • Solid knowledge of platform mechanics, algorithms, and what actually drives results
  • Genuine curiosity about what works, what doesn't, and why

Working style:

  • Self-sufficient but comfortable asking for support when needed
  • Proactive - you identify stories worth telling without waiting for a brief
  • Deep appreciation for community building, not just content posting

What "experience" means to us

We're less focused on qualifications or years in a role. What matters to us is what you've actually done:

  • You've grown a page or channel organically.
  • You've managed a brand's social accounts and were the person creating the content; not just overseeing it.
  • You've built something meaningful from the ground up and can clearly demonstrate your contribution.

Logistics

This is a global role. We operate across Australia, the UK, and New Zealand, and we're looking for someone who's energised by working across different markets rather than daunted by it. We're open on location and open on structure full-time or contract, whatever gets us the right person.

This Role Might Not Be the Right Fit If…

  • You're more comfortable working from templates than creating from scratch.
  • You see social media as scheduling and posting. For us, it's storytelling and community building.
  • Your experience has mostly been executing one part of a larger team's workflow. This role requires translating strategy into content independently.
  • You measure success primarily by follower count. We're focused on reach, engagement, and whether social is contributing to bookings.
  • You're an agency looking to take on another client. We want one dedicated person, not an agency relationship
