Social Media Content Creator – Book Launch

This role focuses on developing and executing a strategic social media content plan to support the launch of a curated book within a newly established publishing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting engaging, audience-specific content for TikTok and Instagram, targeting fiction readers in the Young Adult, Romantasy, New Adult, Science Fiction, and Fantasy genres. The objective is to generate excitement around the book, foster authentic connections with the target audience, and collaborate with authors to amplify the campaign’s reach. The position requires a creative approach to storytelling and a deep understanding of current social media trends to ensure the campaign resonates with the intended audience and aligns with the brand’s values of meaning, connection, and imagination. Deliverables

• Develop a comprehensive TikTok content strategy tailored to the book’s themes and target audience.
• Produce a content calendar outlining key campaign milestones and posting schedules.
• Create engaging, original video and visual content for TikTok and Instagram, optimized for each platform.
• Collaborate with authors and internal stakeholders to source content ideas and coordinate campaign messaging.
• Monitor campaign performance and audience engagement, providing regular insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Adapt content for cross-platform use, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating and managing social media content, particularly for TikTok and Instagram.
• Strong understanding of book marketing, especially within Young Adult, Romantasy, New Adult, Science Fiction, or Fantasy genres.
• Ability to develop strategic content plans and execute them with creativity and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and visual communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with authors or influencers is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with social media analytics tools and ability to interpret data to inform content decisions.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
