Content Creator – Publishing (3-Month Contract)

This freelance opportunity is ideal for a skilled content creator with a background in publishing or editorial environments. The role involves producing, commissioning, and editing a diverse range of content for a leading UK-based publishing house over a three-month period. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality membership content, engaging website features, and dynamic social media assets, all aligned with provided themes and deliverables. The position requires a proactive approach to content planning, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously. Deliverables

• Commission, produce, and edit 4 in-depth membership videos and 4 written membership pieces per month
• Create a minimum of 4 news stories and 4 evergreen features for the pre-paywall website section each month
• Develop 4 YouTube longform videos, 8 YouTube shorts, and 12 Instagram/Facebook reels monthly
• Ensure all content aligns with provided themes and editorial guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent brand voice and quality standards
• Meet all deadlines and manage workflow efficiently across multiple platforms

Requirements

• Proven experience in content production, ideally within publishing, editorial, or media sectors
• Strong video production and editing skills, including familiarity with YouTube and social media formats
• Excellent writing and editorial abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Ability to commission and manage freelance contributors as needed
• Proficiency with content management systems and social media scheduling tools
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple deliverables each month
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
• Availability for a three-month freelance contract, with capacity to deliver all outlined content
