The Trauma Recovery Network Australia (TRNA) is seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Digital Leader and Director to guide, develop and elevate our Digital presence, effectiveness and strategy. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting trauma recovery for communities across regional, rural, and remote Australia.
About TRNA
TRNA is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation that strengthens community resilience and advocates for effective trauma treatment across Australia, whether that's supporting someone through the aftermath of a disaster, or the deeply personal impact of family trauma, abuse, or PTSD. Rather than providing direct client services, we focus on building the capacity of local professionals through peer supervision, practitioner support, and the development of regional networks. Our purpose is to help communities create sustainable, trauma‑informed responses by empowering the clinicians already embedded within them, enhancing resilience, connection, and long‑term healing across Australia.
The Role
As TRNA grows, we need digital infrastructure that can support the needs of our members. We are seeking an experienced digital leader to provide the vision to support for our existing platforms and lead the development and implementation of a cohesive national digital effectiveness plan.
This volunteer role would suit someone who is willing to use their experience in both strategy and delivery to support in the following areas:
· Building and developing a digital strategy
· Platform support for a community website and portal
· CMS management
· UX/CX design
· Web Analytics and data interpretation to inform decisions
· Experience managing websites and digital content workflows.
· Email marketing management
· Social media management and digital content
· Digital governance
· Managing volunteers or project teams
Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on volunteer role and will see you deliver the following support for the network:
· Develop and oversee TRNA’s digital strategy
· Ensure all digital platforms deliver an exceptional customer and member experience
· Manage the core member platform Higher Logic, including editing and building
· pages, setting up automations, data management and reporting
· Increase TRNAs digital presence nationally, increase awareness of the network
· and help drive membership
· Support with the delivery of member lifecycle communications
· Develop a digital governance framework and assist with the implementation
· Support the online promotion of regional EMDR training, community events, and
· crisis‑response initiatives
· Work closely with TRNA leadership, volunteers, and partner organisations
Time Commitment
· 1–2 hours per week, plus
· Board of Directors meetings (4-6 per year)
Hours are flexible and fully remote.
