Volunteer Digital Marketing Advisor / Manager | Team Kenya

Team Kenya is a small, highly effective and ambitious charity, working with women and girls in Ndhiwa, Western Kenya. We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager (volunteer) to join our small team. What difference will you make? Not only will you be able to support Team Kenya to tell the story of the impact that our work has, you will also be part of a wider agenda to amplify the voice of girls and women globally. We may be small, but we are ambitious, and to achieve our goals we rely on the amazing support of the team of volunteers that work with us. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and without them we would not be able to impact the lives of hundreds of girls and women in Ndhiwa. What are we looking for?

• Digital Communications and Marketing experience - An ability to engage and grow audience - Skilled in storytelling and making data come alive for audiences - Strong attention to detail. - Interest in International Development. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Positive, enthusiastic and persuasive. - Ability to work independently as part of a small team

What will you be doing? We are currently looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager (volunteer) to join our small team. With a passion for using communications and technology to bring about social change, you will help Team Kenya to embrace marketing and social media in all their forms to help us to tell our story, demonstrate our impact and support our fundraising work. As Digital Marketing Manager you will develop a strategy to increase the reach and impact of our website, and our social media platforms. You will also help bring our work to life for donors and supporters. This is a key volunteer role within the organisation and you will have the opportunity to make an impact and shape the future direction of our digital marketing activities while improving the lives of girls and women living in Ndhiwa, Western Kenya. We hope that the right person will work with us to provide direction, support and to recruit and manage additional volunteers as needed to achieve the digital marketing goals which you will manage the development of. Specifically, you will Produce and execute digital marketing and social media plans to support our organisational and fundraising objectives Help us to create and deliver compelling integrated digital marketing campaigns that will stand out and engage our target audiences Tailor content for different platforms and use targeting to reach specific audiences through our digital platforms Use your SEO knowledge to advise on and play an active, creative role in the generation of ideas for Team Kenya’s website editorial and offsite content and campaigns Manage (and, where necessary, recruit) our team of social media support volunteers who assist in content creation Work alongside our fantastic implementing partner in Kenya to discuss content creation and provide shared learning as both organisations further develop their digital marketing strategies Oversee volunteers to create and deliver our various e-Newsletters using our CRM Help to build our digital and social media strategy in order to reach key audiences
