ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities Clinical Trial Digital Recruitment Leadership
- Lead the strategy, planning, and oversight of digital patient recruitment programs for clinical trials across therapeutic areas.
- Own the end-to-end digital recruitment strategy, from feasibility and audience identification through awareness, pre-screening, referral, and enrollment support.
- Translate study protocols, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and recruitment goals into integrated digital recruitment strategies across paid, owned, and social channels.
- Partner with clinical, medical, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure recruitment approaches are ethically sound, compliant, and patient-centric.
Strategic Counsel & Client Partnership
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor to sponsors, CROs, and internal teams on clinical trial recruitment challenges and opportunities.
- Lead client discussions on recruitment planning, optimization, performance risks, and mitigation strategies, grounded in data and real-world recruitment dynamics.
- Develop and present strategic POVs, roadmaps, and recommendations tied to enrollment targets, timelines, and study milestones.
Digital Ecosystem & Channel Strategy
- Provide strategic oversight across digital recruitment channels, including paid media collaboration, social media, trial websites and landing experiences, SEO, influencer/patient advocacy partnerships, and emerging platforms.
- Ensure channel strategies are aligned to patient behavior, health information-seeking patterns, and study-specific barriers to participation.
- Guide teams in designing testing and optimization frameworks to improve recruitment efficiency and participant quality.
Data, Measurement & Optimization
- Define and oversee recruitment performance frameworks, including KPIs such as cost per referral, screen rates, enrollment conversion, and diversity representation.
- Partner with analytics teams to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable optimization recommendations.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to continuously improve patient engagement and enrollment outcomes.
Cross-Functional & Team Leadership
- Act as the strategic hub across Account, Creative, Paid Media, Analytics, Technology, and Medical/Legal/Regulatory teams.
Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of experience in digital and social strategy within an agency or in-house environment; Clinical trial recruitment experience required .
- Demonstrated experience supporting clinical trial patient recruitment initiatives, including awareness, engagement, and enrollment strategies across digital channels.
- Strong understanding of the global clinical trial ecosystem, including patient journeys, site engagement, recruitment challenges, and regulatory considerations (e.g., IRB, informed consent, fair balance).
- Proven ability to lead integrated digital strategy across social, web, paid media collaboration, content ecosystems, SEO, influencer partnerships, and emerging platforms.
- Track record of delivering senior-level, data-informed strategic counsel to client and brand leadership.
- Experience partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams, including Creative, Analytics, Paid Media, Medical/Legal/Regulatory, and Technology.
- Strong leadership presence with experience mentoring teams and setting strategic standards across accounts.
- Advanced storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and digital/social and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, platform analytics, social management tools).
- Deep knowledge of the healthcare and regulatory landscape, with experience applying it to digital and social activation.
- Experience with or strong interest in generative AI, automation, and emerging digital technologies preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is $135,000–$185,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
