Our agency client is seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Proofreader to join their team on a short term temp basis. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and correcting written content to ensure it is free of grammatical, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and typographical errors. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong command of the English language, and a passion for producing clean, polished content.
This is a short-term temporary role with part time hours. Must be available to commit to 20-30 hours a week.
Fully remote
Pay: $30/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, and clarity
- Ensure adherence to in-house style guides and tone
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and other team members to maintain content quality
- Review digital and print materials including articles, reports, marketing copy, and more as needed
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of professional experience as a proofreader, editor, or similar role
- Agency experience preferred
- Excellent command of English grammar and style
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with style guides such as AP, Chicago, or MLA is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and/or editing tools (e.g., Grammarly, Adobe Acrobat)
