Freelance A&R & Business Development (Mixing & Mastering)

Supreme Music Productions is a high-end audio post-production studio, helping artists and labels achieve their best sound. We mainly specialise in Modern Hip-Hop and Indie Rock mixing and mastering. As the independent music industry grows, we are looking to expand our reach by partnering with a well informed talent scout who lives and breathes music.

We are seeking a Freelance A&R / Business Development Associate to identify and bridge the gap between talented artists and professional post production studio services. This is a 100% remote, performance-based role ideal for aspiring artist managers, music business students, or industry "hustlers" who already spend their time discovering new music.

You won't just be selling services, you will be an advocate for quality and helping artists take the most important step in their creative journey.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Technical Literacy: Ability to explain the value of professional mixing and mastering, assessing if a client’s raw tracks (stems) meet the studio’s technical minimums.
• Active Within The Industry: Strong knowledge of the music industry, artist relations, and A&R processes. Deeply embedded in digital communities (e.g. SoundCloud, Subreddits, TikTok) or local scenes where artists are actively seeking growth.
• Great Communication: You know how to build genuine rapport with an artist before pitching, ensuring our brand is never perceived as "spammy."
• Genre-Specific Fluency: Ability to identify artists whose aesthetic aligns with our portfolio.
• Lead Qualification: Skilled at vetting prospects to ensure they have the drive and budget to invest in their career. Experience in identifying emerging talent and fostering artist development.
• Self-Starter Mentality: Comfortable working autonomously in a role where your income is directly tied to your networking activity.
• Pre Existing Connections: Advantageous, but if you are already connected with artists or labels, this could play a crucial part and would really set you apart from other candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and outreach to independent artists, bands, and producers who have high potential demos but lack professional mixing/mastering.
• Act as the primary point of contact and brand ambassador until the project is officially handed off to the engineer.
• Utilize our studio’s existing portfolio to demonstrate tangible value to prospective clients.
• Maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up with artists during their release cycles.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Commission: Earn 15% of the total project fee for every client you land.
• Referral Bounties: Additional 5% commission for recurring clients or full-length album bookings.
• Transparent Payouts: No waiting periods. Commission is paid via PayPal within 24 hours of the client’s deposit clearing.
• Creative Input: Opportunity to act as a "Junior A&R," helping select the projects the studio takes on.
• Flexibility: No set hours. Work whenever you are already browsing music or attending shows.
