About The Role

As the Email Marketing Manager, you will assume a critical role in driving the success of our deliverables, client retention, and overall client success. You will lead a team of copywriters, designers, and internal stakeholders in executing all tasks necessary for successful onboarding, retention, and success for our clients. By taking a proactive and hands-on approach, you will have the experience to create innovative solutions for a range of clients and industries, ensuring that all client needs are met and exceeded. Your role will be to develop the team and services for the benefit of the client, leading by example and driving the fulfilment process, client retention, and client success.

  • 3+ Years of experience in Email Marketing, SMS Marketing or Marketing Automations
  • 2+ Years of managing people
  • Strong English fluency in both written and verbal communication is required, along with excellent customer service abilities to ensure superior client satisfaction
  • Got a toolbelt full of automation platform knowledge, like Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Active Campaign?
  • Proven experience in implementing successful email marketing, CRM, or automation strategies at an enterprise level
  • In-depth knowledge of 1-to-1 marketing such as email, SMS, chatbots or loyalty programs
  • In-depth understanding of customer journeys, marketing funnels & customer lifecycles
  • Familiar with CMS including WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, etc
  • Some experience with third-party & API Integrations
  • Skilled in managing competing deadlines while maintaining organization
  • A team-oriented individual with genuine collaboration skills
  • While experience working in an agency is desirable, it is not essential

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Leading a team of copywriters, designers and internal stakeholders
  • Managing and maintaining various marketing software and tools, such as Klaviyo, Optimonk, PostScript, Google Analytics, and ClickUp. Ensuring maximum performance throughout
  • Responsible for team operations, including capacity planning, project management, and tracking KPIs
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication, timely response, and a proactive approach to addressing their needs
  • Overseeing the successful onboarding of new clients
  • Working closely with team members to develop and implement email and SMS marketing campaigns and strategies, including A/B testing and performance analysis
  • Ensuring marketing campaigns are executed according to the marketing calendar
  • Monitoring and optimizing email and SMS marketing performance to achieve and exceed targeted revenue results
  • Conducting regular check-ups on client systems and addressing any issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with graphic design and copywriting teams to ensure high-quality, on-brand deliverables
  • Develop and implement effective audience segmentation strategies to ensure targeted and relevant messaging for our clients' subscriber bases, utilizing best practices to optimize engagement and deliverability
  • Monitor and manage email deliverability, ensuring that our clients' campaigns adhere to industry best practices for sending manual campaigns, maintaining a strong sender reputation and maximizing inbox placement rates
  • Ensuring all email and SMS systems are functioning correctly and efficiently, with minimal errors or downtime
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in email and SMS marketing to continuously improve client results
