About the Role
StepStone Hospitality is seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Assistant to support our digital strategy, social media, and marketing efforts across a growing portfolio of 30+ hotels. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone interested in hospitality, digital marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling. This position is a part-time, temporary independent contractor role.
You’ll work closely with our Director of Digital Strategy & Marketing and collaborate with hotel teams to help bring each property’s story to life online.
What You’ll Do
- Content Collection & Coordination
- Work with hotel teams to gather photos, videos, and on-property content
- Travel to select hotel properties to capture photos and short-form videos (iPhone content is great!)
- Help organize and manage content libraries for multiple hotels
- Social Media & Creative Support
- Assist with creating branded flyers, promos, and sales collateral using Canva
- Support social media content needs (stories, reels, posts, event highlights)
- Ensure creative assets align with brand standards (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, independents)
- Digital Marketing & Reporting Assistance
- Help collate information for monthly digital marketing reports
- Assist with tracking campaign performance, promotions, and property updates
- Organize data, screenshots, and summaries used for leadership and ownership reporting
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Communicate with hotel sales teams, on-property contacts, and vendors
- Support special projects such as promotions, seasonal campaigns, and hotel renovations
- Learn how digital strategy, SEO, social media, and hotel marketing intersect at scale
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Design, or a related field
- Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and hospitality
- Comfortable using Canva (or eager to learn quickly)
- Confident taking photos and short videos on a phone
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple properties and deadlines at once
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally during the internship
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Basic understanding of analytics or digital reporting
- Interest in hotels, travel, lifestyle, or experiential marketing
- Photography, videography, or design background
