***Spekk was named one of the UK’s Top 100 Companies to Work For in 2025 by the Culture 100 Awards and recognised as one of the UK’s fastest-growing paid social and creative agencies in 2026***
Who we are:
We are Spekk: a digital advertising agency for high-consideration products. We help businesses with complex offerings increase their sales by combining the power of algorithms with human empathy, storytelling and style.* We primarily work with clients through our Paid Media Management service, which is at the heart of our business, but we also offer creative strategy and social-first content production through our in-house Creative Studio.
*Sounds intense, but really there’s just a few of us with Macbook Pros.
About the job:
TL;DR: We’re hiring a Senior Paid Media & Growth Strategist to run paid social for up to five premium e-commerce brands, hands-on. You’ll work directly with client founders and C-level, shape the strategy and not just the ads, and look past the ad account to what else is holding growth back.
What this role is about:
This role is for an excellent paid media strategist who is just as comfortable looking beyond paid. Our client’s products are high consideration, which means the ads are rarely the only thing deciding results. Sometimes the blocker is the site, the offer, the pricing or the creative, and we want someone who can spot it, prove it and think creatively about how to fix it, using the whole growth ecosystem and a 360 view of marketing to grow the account or remove what’s in its way. You’re basically like Liam Neeson, except instead of having a very specific set of skills you have a very general set of skills.
First and foremost, though, you’ll run the paid media for up to five premium e-commerce brands in homeware, tech and high-end fashion: how accounts are structured, how budgets are spent, how tests are run and how results are read. You’ll be the client’s day-to-day lead, develop the strategy with Spekk Partners and own getting it implemented, and talk to client founders and C-level about commercial outcomes, not just campaign metrics.
It isn’t easy work, but neither was going to the moon and look how great that turned out. Hard should appeal to you. You might have a founder who would rather protect the brand in the medium term than chase this week’s numbers, a product with a buying journey measured in weeks across a very large catalogue, or a client who expects fast answers and tests you on the detail. If you haven’t broken out in a sweat, you’ve already passed the first test.
We run accounts more like a boutique strategy consultancy than a traditional performance agency: fewer clients and more time to think. You’ll report directly to a Spekk Partner and Head of Paid Media, with senior people to challenge your thinking, juniors and technical experts around you, and our own specialist creative studio or highly capable client creative teams to supply you with assets.
What you’ll do:
Running your accounts
- Strategy: develop the strategy for each account directly with Spekk Partners, then own implementing it and iterating on it with the client to make sure it works
- Running paid social: own how your accounts are structured, budgeted and optimised, across Advantage+ and manual funnel campaigns. On larger accounts you’ll direct the team doing the day-to-day execution, and on mid-sized ones you’ll do some of it yourself. Either way, you need to feel fully at home in Meta Ads Manager
- Testing: plan structured tests and decide what to scale, fix or stop, including creative tests judged against the objective of the campaign they sit in
- Reading results properly: look beyond ROAS - or over the ho-ROAS-on (that’s a horizon for ROAS) - when it comes to measurement and attribution, understand why performance moves (reach, frequency, fatigue e.g.) and know how long to wait before judging results on long buying journeys
Looking beyond the ad account
- Diagnosing growth blockers: find what’s limiting growth outside paid (site, offer, pricing, CRM, brand), prove it with evidence and recommend what to do about it. And before you ask, no we will not refer to you as “Doctor,” no matter how many accurate diagnoses you make
- Connecting paid to commercial outcomes: link spend to margin, LTV and payback, build budget and forecast scenarios and recommend a spend level you can defend with your honour
- Thinking creatively: bring new angles, tests and ideas drawn from a 360 view of marketing, from a different funnel structure to a sharper message, and make the case for them to the client
Working with clients and creative
- Leading the client relationship: be the day-to-day lead, including regular conversations with client founders and C-level, and balance brand priorities against short-term performance
- Reporting people can act on: present monthly reporting and recommendations that people outside paid can follow, and brief juniors and analysts on the analysis you need
- Briefing the creative: turn the media plan into a prioritised asset request list for our studio or the client’s creative team, and feed back what’s working, what isn’t and what to make next
What success looks like:
Within your first six to twelve months:
- You’ve gotten the human race to submit to your will. Just kidding, it’s slightly easier than that, but glad you’re still paying attention
- Your accounts are moving in the right direction, and you can show why
- Clients treat you as their go-to person, from the day-to-day through to commercial conversations with their founders and C-level
- You’ve shaped the strategy for your accounts and seen it through, with results you can point to
Who this role is for:
Experience
- Excellent at paid social: 5+ years running paid social professionally across several e-commerce brands, preferably at an agency
- Solid on Google Ads: a genuinely good understanding of all campaign types, bidding and attribution. You don’t need to know every setting, but you can plan, review and challenge a search strategy with confidence
- Premium brand experience: you’ve grown premium e-commerce accounts, whether high-end fashion where the brand comes first or high-priced homeware or tech with a long buying journey, and moved the results in the right direction
- Used to small, fast-moving teams: it’s a plus if you’ve worked in an independent or boutique agency, where teams are small, things move quickly and everyone is hands-on, rather than at a large agency where work passes through layers of process and sign-off
- A view beyond the ads: you understand the wider levers that affect paid results, such as landing pages, pricing, email, brand, PR and influencer activity. You don’t need to be a specialist in any of them, but you can talk about them credibly and have experience diagnosing problems that impact paid results
- Clear about the complex: you turn complicated performance and creative data into simple recommendations that people outside paid can follow and act on
Who you are
(Don’t worry, we aren’t about to get philosophical)
- Naturally authoritative with clients: you explain your ideas clearly and with conviction, build rapport quickly and hold your position politely when challenged. Knowing the account and the numbers earns you the right to be believed, but the way you communicate is what wins the room
- Curious and proactive: you dig for the root cause and learn the client’s business before anyone asks you to
- Driven: you want to be the best at this, and it shows in how you talk about your accounts. You set high standards for yourself and take real pride in the results
- Resilient and open to feedback: you stay calm when a test flops or a client escalates, own your mistakes and keep getting better
Practicalities
- Fluent English (C2 or equivalent)
- Based in the UK or EU and able to work UK/EU hours
What you’ll get:
- Premium brands, real influence: work on products that are anything but throw-away, and sit close to the people making the decisions
- An actual meritocracy: no red tape or barriers to your development (take Stephen as an example, who made Partner four years after joining as an intern)
- Real AI upskilling: work closely with our Chief AI Officer, whose job is to give the team tools and skills that let you do more than you could on your own, and help shape Spekk OS, our internal AI and data system, as it’s being built
- Freedom: fully remote, with team members based in the UK, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France and Portugal and beyond
- Time together: Team trips two to three times a year, with previous destinations including Tuscany, the French Riviera, Mallorca, Austria, Lisbon and Sweden
- Access to Casa Spekk: our brand home with three bedrooms in Barcelona
- Set-up: a £500 one-off allocation for your home office
Timings & remuneration:
- Start date: ASAP, Autumn ‘26
- Full-time position: We’re flexible around employment forms depending on location, so we can figure out what suits both sides best
- Remuneration: £50,000 to £65,000 per year, depending on experience
