Step into the role of a Transportation Segment Manager EMEAI (m/w/d) and become a driving force in defining, implementing, leading, and executing the strategy and market plans for the Transportation Segment. Acting as a segment leader, the position provides strategic direction & leadership for counterparts and team members in Sales, Business Development, R&D and Product Management in the EMEAI region in alignment with overall segment objectives.

This position can be based anywhere within EMEAI.Your main tasks will be:

  • Align internal teams (Sales, R&D, Product Management) to execute the EMEAI growth plan effectively
  • Empower the commercial team to accelerate lead generation and deal closure
  • Grow the segment in EMEAI by increasing market share, brand recognition, and profitability
  • Drive innovation through regional input into the segment's innovation pipeline and prioritize differentiation
  • Refine the strategic plan annually, using data, market trends, disruptor analysis, and clear success metrics
  • Execute growth initiatives, aligning stakeholders and supporting both organic and inorganic strategies
  • Strengthen customer and industry relationships to gain insights and build influence across the market
  • Support business development with tools, pricing strategies, training, and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborate on product development, ensuring alignment with EMEAI needs through all project phases
  • Lead effectively by managing talent, resources, and cross-functional collaboration for maximum ROI

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Chemistry or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7–10 years of B2B sales and 2-3 years of marketing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the coatings industry
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles (6–12 months, multi-site, approval-driven)
  • Travel requirements: 50%+
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and advanced proficiency in at least one additional European language
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred
