E-commerce Product Curator & Catalog Manager
Job Description
Posted on: February 3, 2026
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time / Partnership Track
Experience: Mid-Level / High-Taste Level
Overview
We are an ambitious furniture retailing brand with a catalog of 200+ premium products. We have the inventory, the infrastructure, and the marketing engine ready to go. Now, we need a Product Curator & Catalog Manager to own the digital storefront.
Your mission is to ensure that every single product on our site looks, feels, and reads like a luxury item. You aren't just uploading photos; you are building a brand aesthetic that justifies premium price points and converts browsers into buyers.
Key Responsibilities1. Catalog Excellence & Merchandising
- Premium Copywriting: Move beyond supplier descriptions. You will write compelling, SEO-friendly product stories that highlight materials, craftsmanship, and lifestyle benefits.
- Visual Optimization: Edit and curate product imagery. You will select the best "hero" shots and ensure a consistent visual language across all 200+ items.
- Collection Strategy: Organize products into intuitive, high-converting collections (e.g., "The Nordic Minimalist Set," "Industrial Loft Essentials").
2. Supply Chain & Inventory Strategy
- Supplier Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for our manufacturing partners. You will verify stock levels, negotiate better rates as we scale, and ensure product data is accurate.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor feedback on specific items. If a product isn't meeting our quality standards, you have the authority to pull it from the store or find an alternative supplier.
- Sourcing: Identify the "next big thing." You will keep a pulse on interior design trends to suggest new additions to our catalog that fit our brand DNA.
3. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- A/B Testing: Experiment with different product titles, pricing strategies, and "Add to Cart" flows to maximize the value of every visitor.
- Upsell/Cross-sell Management: Set up "Complete the Look" recommendations to increase Average Order Value (AOV).
About You
- A "Design Eye": You have a deep appreciation for interior design and understand why a customer chooses one chair over another based on "vibe" and aesthetic.
- Technical Proficiency: You are comfortable (or ready to become an expert) in Shopify, SEO tools, and basic image editing (Canva/Photoshop).
- Detail Obsessed: With 200+ products, a typo or a broken link is a lost sale. You are meticulous.
- Growth Mindset: You want to be part of a growing business and are willing to put in the work to see the brand succeed globally.
What’s in it for you?
- This is a "founding" role. You will work directly with the owner to shape the brand's identity. While we are listing this as a full-time commitment, we are looking for a long-term partner. Compensation structures, including performance bonuses or equity stakes, are open for discussion for the right candidate who proves their value in the initial phase.
