Senior SEO Analyst

About the Opportunity:

A remote-first organic growth agency is seeking a Senior SEO Analyst to support diverse client needs through strategic SEO and content initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Suggest and implement SEO best practices for various client industries including eCommerce, tech, and finance

• Stay updated on SEO industry changes and communicate technical improvements to non-technical stakeholders

• Perform monthly keyword research and competitor analysis to generate topic ideas

• Write effective marketing web copy for multiple verticals

• Analyze site code to identify technical SEO issues such as page speed, site architecture, and crawling/indexing

• Conduct weekly analyses using Google Search Console and other SEO tools

• Create detailed spreadsheets to support recommendations and storytelling

• Brainstorm and test ideas to improve search presence, content, and user experience

• Drive growth of clients'' online presence

• Coordinate and oversee SEO-based content creation

• Develop creative link building ideas and pitch content to journalists and bloggers

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in an SEO role

• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Moz, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms

• Technical background with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience conducting full SEO site audits and delivering actionable recommendations

• Deep ecommerce SEO experience and understanding of search engine crawling, indexing, and ranking

• Data analysis skills to inform on-page, off-page, and technical SEO decisions

• Strong interpersonal skills for client relationship management and polished deliverables

• Project management skills to handle multiple projects effectively

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently

• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, with an eye for web design; JavaScript knowledge is a plus

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel) and/or Google Workspace (Sheets)

Suggested Skills:

• Experience with project management tools such as Basecamp and Smartsheet

• Experience with ecommerce CMS platforms like WordPress and Shopify; Headless CMS experience is a plus

• 2-3 years agency experience

Compensation:

• Salary range $72,000.00-$81,000.00 DOE
