Job Description

Posted on: April 22, 2026

We're looking for a resourceful, fast-moving content marketing editor and coordinator to support the Director of Content Marketing for Salesforce Data 360 in a managed resource role. This is a hands-on, executional position focused on writing, editing, publishing, and keeping content operations humming — a strong strategic background is essential but not the primary function of this role.

This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of quarter-to-quarter extension based on performance and business need (not guaranteed). You'll be working in an fast-paced, ever-changing environment that requires nimble pivoting, friction-less flexibility and adaptability. The role requires trust in the decision-making from the key Data 360 stakeholders. We are looking for someone who can take direction, execute cleanly and deliver without hand-holding from day one. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of matrix organizations.

Mission: This team leads the revenue content strategy for Data 360 with a clear mandate to strategize, create, and optimize content that drives millions in pipeline. They own all campaign content, thought leadership blogs, user-generated content (UGC), and influencer programs. Plus, they oversee the content strategy for the growing Datablazer community. They implement a customer and Datablazer-led strategy designed to share real stories, voices, and customer outcomes, helping to break through the clutter of AI-generated content.

About You: You're a strong writer and editor who takes direction well and delivers cleanly under pressure. You're equally comfortable writing short-form digital copy and editing longer pieces drafted by others. You excel at taking direction and constructive feedback without friction, and you can juggle multiple projects while keeping content substantive, helpful, and easy-to-understand (7th grade reading level) regardless of topic complexity. You're comfortable collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and, most importantly, you execute fast without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread content assets (blogs, campaign copy, short-form digital, UGC support) based on direction from the Director of Content Marketing.
  • Optimize and update existing assets based on feedback and performance data provided.
  • Support the execution of up to two persona-focused content journeys for organic and paid media campaigns. This includes producing new content, pulling basic performance reports, and implementing optimizations as directed.
  • Produce creative derivatives (resizes, variants, repurposed formats) of marquee campaign assets as directed.
  • Manage, maintain and deliver against a quarterly content calendar.
  • Coordinate with the campaigns team, social lead, and content activation lead to ensure promoted content meets expectations
  • Maintain the content inventory so it is up-to-date and accessible to the PMM team at all times.
  • Perform content audits as directed and flag findings to the Director.
  • Schedule and conduct customer or community interviews for content projects when directed. Support interviews and collaborate with stakeholders and interviewees.
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including product marketing, creative, events, campaigns, social media, customer marketing, and program management, while meeting fast-paced deadlines.

Ideal Candidate

  • 5 years of professional experience in content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or editorial work — preferably within B2B tech or a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Strong portfolio of published writing and editing work.
  • Stellar project management, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Executional mindset — you take direction well, ask smart clarifying questions, and deliver on deadline. When you hit an obstacle, you flag it early and propose a path forward rather than pushing back.
  • Comfortable working directly with a demanding client POC in a managed resource context — professional, responsive, and able to navigate feedback without friction.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including editors, data experts, agency representatives, project managers, and creative teams.
  • Team player comfortable operating in a support role to a director and prioritizing the best interests of the business and the content team.
  • Strong understanding of or interest in the tech industry, specifically customer data platforms, AI, and CRM applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, systems, and processes.
  • Skilled with AI tools, such as Gemini, Notebook, Writer, Claude and others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at Salesforce (as a contractor, managed resource, or former employee).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and marketing workflow tools.
  • Experience in AI content and agent engineering.
