Social Media Coordinator (Freelance)

Time: Adhoc, 10-20 hours per week

Rate: $35/hr

Type: Freelance / Contractor

Location: Must be Australian. Ideally Melbourne (remote)

About the Role

Prizecart is a new Australian fashion & beauty focused shopping startup with hundreds of big name brands already. We’re looking for a social media freelancer to help keep our social channels active, consistent, and engaging. This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day execution, content creation, and community interaction. You’ll work closely with the team to bring ideas to life and help maintain momentum across our platforms.

Responsibilities

Post content across TikTok and Instagram

Respond to DMs and comments

Monitor and engage with relevant fashion, beauty, and lifestyle accounts to drive engagement

• Create UGC-style content (e.g. wishlist videos, trend-based posts, casual on-camera content)
• Edit short-form content using tools like CapCut
• Schedule posts using a social scheduling tool
• Brainstorm content ideas with the team
• Assist with light influencer coordination (outreach, follow-ups, tracking)

What We’re Looking For

• Some prior experience managing social media accounts (personal or client)
• A marketing degree or marketing background is a plus
• Active personal TikTok and Instagram accounts we can review
• Comfortable filming and appearing on camera
• Familiar with short-form video trends and platform best practices
• Able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and good creative judgment
• Experience creating UGC content
• Experience working with fashion, beauty, or consumer brands
• Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools
