About the Role
Our client, a rapidly scaling finance and crypto start-up, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Marketing to lead all aspects of brand, communications, and event strategy. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, combines creative vision with operational rigor, and can execute large-scale initiatives that drive visibility, engagement, and growth.
The Director of Marketing will own the company’s brand presence, public relations, events, and digital strategy—developing and executing marketing programs that amplify the company’s position as a leader in the financial technology space. This is a hands-on leadership position, balancing high-level strategy with tactical execution and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing brand development, public relations, content, and events.
- Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale industry events, conferences, sponsorships, and webinars, ensuring alignment with company goals and ROI.
- Manage all marketing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and performance tracking.
- Maintain and optimize the annual marketing calendar, ensuring timely coordination across campaigns, product launches, and events.
- Lead branding initiatives to strengthen company identity across digital and offline channels.
- Drive PR and media relations, including press releases, speaking engagements, and partnerships to enhance market visibility.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to align marketing strategy with overall business objectives.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO/SEM, social media, and campaign analytics.
- Manage and mentor marketing team members, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and innovation.
- Evaluate marketing performance through data-driven insights and regularly report on key KPIs and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus).
- 7+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally within finance, fintech, or tech start-ups.
- Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale events and managing external agencies and partners.
- Deep understanding of brand strategy, PR, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong operational skills in budget management, planning, and cross-departmental coordination.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and leadership abilities.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with limited structure and evolving priorities.
