Hiring: Project Manager, DTC E‑Commerce OperationsCompany: Rain Media

Reports to: Director of Operations

Status: Full‑time (W2)

Location: Remote (US‑based; any time zone) with travel

Position OverviewDo you thrive in fast‑moving environments where structure, clarity, and execution truly matter?Do you love stepping into complex initiatives, aligning teams, and turning strategic ideas into real, measurable outcomes?

If so, Rain Media is looking for you.

We’re hiring a Project Manager, DTC E‑Commerce Operations, to serve as the central execution leader across our direct‑to‑consumer business. This role sits within Operations and partners closely with executive leadership, including our President, Founder, and Director of People Operations, to drive high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives that directly influence growth and revenue.

This is not a traditional departmental PM role. You will operate across Growth, Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, Customer Experience, and Operations—bringing order to ambiguity, momentum to stalled initiatives, and accountability to teams that move quickly.

You are the ideal candidate if you love systems, efficiency, and execution. You’re exceptional at breaking down complex projects, managing dependencies, and ensuring teams stay aligned. You bring a calm, structured presence to fast‑paced environments and know how to balance speed with discipline.

A critical part of this role is owning and architecting our project management systems, especially ClickUp. You will define how work gets planned, tracked, and delivered across the company.

If you’re energized by high‑velocity work, cross‑functional leadership, and building scalable systems that help teams operate at their best, you’ll thrive here.

ResponsibilitiesDTC & Revenue‑Driven Project Execution

  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives tied to DTC ecommerce digital marketing initiatives
  • Product launches (SKUs, bundles, packaging, compliance readiness)
  • Marketing and growth campaigns
  • E‑commerce operations (Shopify updates, CRO initiatives, tooling)
  • Supply chain, fulfillment, and CX improvements
  • Executive strategic priorities and quarterly initiatives
  • Translate executive and founder priorities into clear, actionable project plans
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of ambiguity
  • Identify and resolve risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies before they impact revenue

ClickUp Ownership & Systems Architecture (Critical)

  • Serve as the company‑wide ClickUp owner and system architect.
  • Build scalable, intuitive project management structures, including:
  • Gantt charts and launch timelines
  • Task dependencies and critical paths
  • Sprint planning and execution cadences
  • Intake forms for marketing, ops, and growth
  • Dashboards and executive‑level visibility
  • Standardize workflows so they are usable by non‑technical teams.
  • Leverage automation and AI within ClickUp to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure long‑term adoption and system consistency across the organization.

Stakeholder Leadership & Change Enablement

  • Partner directly with executives and senior leaders across departments.
  • Drive alignment, accountability, and follow‑through in fast‑moving teams.
  • Confidently manage stakeholders at all levels, pushing for clarity and deadlines when needed.
  • Support adoption through training, documentation, and hands‑on guidance.
  • Act as a neutral operator focused on outcomes—not departmental politics.

Execution Discipline in a High‑Velocity Environment

  • Bring structure to fast‑moving, sometimes messy environments.
  • Balance process with pragmatism—what works today and scales tomorrow.
  • Continuously improve how initiatives are planned, tracked, and delivered.

  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools

  • Accountability: Take full ownership of your responsibilities and their outcomes. You commit to seeing tasks through, accepting both successes and failures as your own, and continuously learning and improving along the way.
  • Attention to Detail: We are fully focused on the task at hand. In e-commerce, every action has a ripple effect, one mistake can impact the entire process. By carefully attending to your work, you ensure that each detail contributes to the success of the whole.
  • Honesty & Trust: We are transparent, even when it's difficult. Speaking up about hard truths, especially when mistakes are made, helps us address issues before they become bigger problems. As a company, we need to know the challenges in order to fix them. Avoiding the truth only allows issues to fester and harm the company in the long run.
  • Innovation: We are continuously pushing the boundaries and exploring new ideas. We're not tied to the status quo—if you see an opportunity for improvement, speak up. We value and encourage fresh thinking to drive the company forward.
  • Move Fast and Persevere: We push forward with speed and determination, even when things get tough. In the fast-paced world of e-commerce and startups, challenges are inevitable.
