Overview

The Inside Sales Manager will serve as the first in-depth point of contact to prospective customers. The role will call on new prospects, identify relevant contacts and develop business relationships. The role will provide detailed product knowledge and information to prospects and partners with senior sales team to achieve new booked business quotas.

The Inside Sales Manager should demonstrate solution-selling and relationship building skills.

The role will interface with sales, marketing, product, and operations.

Reports to: VP Sales APAC

Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Customer Acquisition: Actively facilitate the acquisition of new customers through effective outreach and qualification processes.
  • Performance Adherence: Consistently meet or exceed key operational KPIs
  • Lead Management:
  • Need: Is the prospect a good fit for our solutions?
  • Authority: Is the contact the decision-maker or influential in the buying process?
  • Timeframe: What is the prospect's intended purchasing timeline?
  • Money: Does the prospect have an allocated budget or a clear financial capacity?
  • Proactively follow up on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) transferred from the Marketing team.
  • Thoroughly qualify MQLs into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the Sales Team by assessing:
  • Track and contribute to key deal KPIs such as booking volume, commissionable room nights, and group mix.
  • Strategic Liaison (APAC Focus): Serve as a key liaison for APAC territory setup, collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth market entry and operations.
  • Market Intelligence: Contribute to Onyx profile building and other in-market activities, gathering valuable insights.

QualificationsMinimum Required

  • Over 5 years of Sales Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Comfortable using general Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high outbound call volume with a corresponding high talk time

Preferred

  • Local knowledge of Australian Market
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce

Teamwork/Leadership/interpersonal Skills

  • Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership demonstrating the ability to function independently, but also able to operate and excel in a team environment
  • Excel at developing relationships over the phone
  • Must be articulate, organized, proactive, creative and detail oriented
