Role Description

We are seeking a part-time, remote Director of Editorial to lead and oversee the editorial team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally relevant content across multiple platforms. This role involves managing content strategy, editing and refining written material, and ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice and values. The Director of Editorial will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute publishing strategies and introduce innovative ideas to enhance content reach and engagement. Additionally, the role involves establishing editorial calendars, mentoring team members, and maintaining excellence in content production.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Writing and Text Editing to produce clear, engaging, and error-free content.
  • Experience with Content Strategy and Editorial planning to guide and execute brand-aligned storytelling initiatives.
  • Expertise in Publishing processes and familiarity with multi-platform media distribution.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of culturally relevant conversations and trends to create engaging, real-time content.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role in a fast-paced media environment is highly desirable.
