Role Description The QA Analyst / Junior QA Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting the quality assurance of OAF-Ug’s digital tools, data systems, and program-related platforms. The role involves reviewing requirements, documenting clear and structured test cases, and performing manual testing to ensure that applications, data collection forms, and reporting dashboards function as intended. The QA Analyst will identify defects, record them accurately, and collaborate with technical and program teams to clarify issues and verify fixes. Day-to-day tasks include executing test plans, performing regression tests after changes, validating data accuracy, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality standards and processes. The role also supports the preparation of simple QA reports and helps maintain organized QA documentation for ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for understanding requirements, identifying issues, and interpreting data-related results.
- Candidates should possess core Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills to verify that systems, forms, and workflows meet defined standards and function reliably.
- Candidates should possess Manual Testing skills, including designing and executing Test Cases for new features, updates, and bug fixes.
- Candidates should possess basic documentation skills and attention to detail for logging defects, preparing simple QA reports, and maintaining test records.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Beneficial skills include familiarity with spreadsheets or basic database tools, comfort working remotely with diverse teams, and interest in social impact, development work, or refugee and rural community contexts.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow structured processes, communicate clearly in written English, and work independently with guidance from senior team members.
