About the Role
We are seeking a Head of PPC to lead and take ownership of our paid media service as we move into the next stage of growth.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role designed to provide stability, commercial oversight and confidence across PPC and Paid Social delivery. The successful candidate will be a long-term, embedded member of the business who can step in decisively, assess accounts quickly and take responsibility for performance across key clients.
This role is highly client-facing and involves regular day-to-day communication with clients. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in live environments, managing expectations, addressing issues early and maintaining strong, trusted client relationships.
It is not a purely strategic or advisory role. We are looking for an experienced paid media leader who combines strong technical expertise with sound judgement, commercial acumen and the right cultural fit.
Role Purpose
- Lead and own Novi’s PPC and Paid Social services across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads and other relevant paid media platforms.
- Act as the senior point of accountability for paid media performance across search and paid social.
- Act as a visible and trusted senior contact for clients, with regular day-to-day involvement in performance management and communication.
- Provide hands-on expertise and commercial oversight across all paid media delivery.
- Support sustainable growth without compromising quality or culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesPPC and Paid Social Strategy and Delivery
- Own paid media strategy and performance across a portfolio of key client accounts spanning Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads.
- Confidently enter and assess paid media accounts, identifying issues, risks and opportunities quickly across search and paid social platforms.
- Ensure campaigns are structured, optimised and managed in line with best practice across all platforms.
- Align paid media activity with client commercial objectives and agency profitability.
- Monitor performance, spend and trends with a clear understanding of P&L impact.
Client and Commercial Management
- Act as a highly visible senior point of contact for paid media clients, with frequent and proactive communication.
- Maintain close day-to-day contact with key clients to monitor performance, manage priorities and address issues early.
- Lead regular client discussions and performance conversations, including unscheduled or reactive calls where required.
- Handle difficult or sensitive client conversations with confidence, clarity and professionalism.
- Build trust through consistency, transparency and strong commercial understanding.
- Support new business activity, including in-person sales where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, retention and long-term value.
Training, Innovation and Enablement
- Lead and deliver PPC and Paid Social training for clients.
- Help develop and utilise Novi’s award-winning software and reporting tools.
- Clearly articulate and sell the value of software-led reporting and insights.
- Stay up to date with platform changes, automation and AI-led advancements across paid media.
Required Skills and Experience
- Five or more years’ experience in agency-side PPC or paid media roles.
- At least three years’ experience in a senior or leadership paid media position.
- Deep, hands-on expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of agency economics.
- Proven ability to assess paid media accounts quickly and accurately across multiple platforms.
- Confidence handling difficult conversations with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or participating in sales and commercial discussions.
Certifications
- Up-to-date Google Ads certification required.
- Up-to-date Microsoft Ads certification required.
- Up-to-date Meta Ads certification required.
Salary and Commission
Base salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Uncapped, tiered monthly commission on new business and eligible training revenue.
Commission is designed to stack month on month and reward sustained growth rather than one-off wins.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a structured video response stage as part of the application process. This involves recording short, time-limited video answers to a set of predefined questions within a fixed time window.
Candidates who progress will then take part in a live paid media account assessment, followed by a senior-level interview focused on experience, judgement and cultural fit.
This process is designed to assess real-world capability, commercial thinking and the ability to operate confidently in live client environments.
