Director of Product Management

Job Summary

Nortek Data Center is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Product Management & Innovation to lead a team of product managers and engineers focused on the development, execution, and evolution of the company’s data center cooling equipment product roadmap. This leadership role will drive product strategy, innovation initiatives, and cross-functional alignment to deliver differentiated solutions that meet the rapidly evolving needs of the data center industry.

The Director of Product Management & Innovation will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, operations, manufacturing, service, and executive leadership to identify market opportunities, prioritize investments, and successfully launch new products and technologies that support business growth and customer success.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of product managers and engineers responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of the data center cooling product roadmap.
• Define and communicate product vision, market strategy, and innovation priorities aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
• Drive the product lifecycle from concept through commercialization, including market analysis, business case development, product requirements, launch planning, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, and emerging technologies within the data center and thermal management industries.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, partnerships, and innovation opportunities to strengthen Nortek’s competitive position.
• Establish product roadmaps that balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, profitability, and resource availability.
• Support strategic customer engagement activities including product presentations, roadmap reviews, and technical discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement in product management processes, prioritization methodologies, and innovation execution.
• Develop and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Position Qualifications__Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, or product development leadership roles.
• Experience within HVAC, thermal management, industrial equipment, or data center infrastructure industries strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing product roadmaps for complex technical products.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical, commercial, and operational considerations.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing organizational strategy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Preferred:

• Data center cooling or mission-critical infrastructure experience.
• Experience launching custom or configurable engineered products.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and stage-gate development processes.
• Experience supporting innovation programs, technology scouting, or strategic partnerships.
