NFM assists families in resolving legal, emotional, and financial challenges arising from separation, with a focus on fostering long-term arrangements that benefit all parties, especially children. In addition to their mediation services, NFM offers industry-leading training programmes to equip mediators with the essential skills and knowledge needed in this field.

Role Description

The Marketing & Communications Manager will work collaboratively with senior leadership and external agencies to deliver impactful campaigns, engaging digital content and audience communications.

National Family Mediation is looking for a creative, proactive and strategically minded Marketing & Communications Manager to lead and deliver the organisation’s marketing, communications and digital engagement activity.

This is a broad and varied marketing generalist role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on delivery across multiple marketing and communications channels. The successful candidate will lead the organisation’s marketing and communications activity, playing a key role in increasing awareness of NFM and family mediation, promoting its services and supporting the organisation’s long-term growth and visibility.

Hours : 28 hours per week

Salary : £35,000 p/a

Key Responsibilities :Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management

·      Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to promote NFM’s family mediation services and training programmes.

·      Support development and implementation of long-term marketing and communications strategy

·      Identify opportunities to increase awareness, audience engagement and organisational reach

·      Contribute to development and launch of new services and awareness initiatives

·       Monitor campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance data and audience insight

Digital Marketing & Website Management

  • Manage and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, engaging and up to date
  • Upload and update training courses, press releases, blogs, reviews and promotional content
  • Work collaboratively with external digital marketing agency to support SEO, Google Ads, paid social campaigns and website optimisation
  • Monitor website analytics and user behaviour using Google Analytics and other digital tools
  • Identify backlink and referral opportunities to improve search visibility and website authority 

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create, schedule and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms
  • Ensure all marketing collateral, digital content and communications remain consistent with NFM’s brand identity, tone of voice and visual style
  • Develop social media campaigns to promote organisational services and training opportunities
  • Design marketing materials and promotional assets using Canva or other creative tools
  • Create downloadable resources, guides and lead-generation content to support audience engagement
  • Monitor and respond to social media messages and audience enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor competitor activity, audience trends and sector discussions to inform content planning and campaigns

Communications & PR

  • Work collaboratively with the PR Manager to identify media opportunities and campaign ideas
  • Produce newsletters, email campaigns, training bulletins and audience communications using Mailchimp or similar
  • Ensure all communications, marketing materials and digital content are aligned with organisational values, tone of voice and brand identity

Stakeholder Engagement & Organisational Support

  • Attend Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings to provide marketing updates and strategic insight
  • Prepare quarterly marketing reports for Board and Trustee meetings
  • Build positive working relationships with external agencies

Events & Engagement

  • Lead planning and coordination of organisational events, including conferences and AGM
  • Source venues, suppliers and event partners where required
  • Coordinate event communications, logistics and promotional activity

Innovation & Digital Development

  • Support development and improvement of AI-powered marketing and communication tools, including chatbot and content support initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, automation and digital engagement
  • Contribute ideas and innovation to support continuous improvement across marketing and communications activity

PERSON SPECIFICATION :ESSENTIAL

1.    Experience managing and delivering marketing and communications activity across multiple channels.

2.    Experience managing websites (Wordpress)

3.    Knowledge of SEO, analytics and digital marketing best practice

4.    Excellent written communication and content creation skills

5.    Experience creating marketing materials and digital content

6.    Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

7.    Strong organisational and time management skills

8.    Ability to work independently and use initiative

9.    Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders

10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

11. Confident using digital platforms and marketing technology

DESIRABLE

  1. Experience within the charity, mediation, legal or not-for-profit sector
  2.  Experience producing reports and presenting updates to senior stakeholders
  3. Experience using Canva or similar design tools
  4. Knowledge of Google Ad Grants
  5. Knowledge of Salesforce
  6. Experience planning and coordinating events
  7. Understanding of family law, mediation or relationship support services
  8. Experience with email marketing platforms.
