This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Job Description We’re looking for a smart, agile Communications Specialist to join the Communications Team, which is an integral part of Montu’s growing Corporate Affairs & Patient Advocacy function. You will help raise awareness of a range of initiatives that support our strategic corporate affairs priorities, patient-first values and contribute to maintaining our social licence to operate. This is a hands-on role designed for a strong executor who can confidently handle a wide variety of communications tasks, from content creation and approvals coordination to digital publishing and social media content development and scheduling. You will also support the development of media materials, event planning and media relations activity. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, a creative and adaptable mindset, and a passion for clear, compelling storytelling in a highly regulated environment. Content Development & Execution

  • Develop clear, stakeholder audience-specific content across Montu’s owned, earned and internal channels including LinkedIn posts, internal newsletters, media materials, web updates, and FAQs.
  • Translate complex clinical, regulatory, or policy content into accessible one-pagers, or stakeholder updates.
  • Support the team’s communications, media relations and thought leadership efforts by preparing messaging, bios, and spokesperson briefings.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications including social posts (LinkedIn), content scheduling.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business including in the Government Relations and Medical Affairs to ensure consistency of messaging across channels.
  • Maintain and update media materials including messaging documents, FAQs, media kits.

Social, Digital & Monitoring

  • Manage Montu content calendars for Corporate Affairs (primarily LinkedIn) and develop and schedule social posts.
  • Monitor media and social platforms (Sprout, Streem) for mentions, sector trends and engagement opportunities.
  • Produce ad-hoc media summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics, media and communications OKRs.

Collaboration, Approvals & Process

  • Own the content approval platform (Veeva) workflow across Corporate Affairs coordinating feedback from Legal, Compliance, Government Relations and others.
  • Support internal comms initiatives including newsletters, events, and employee-facing announcements.
  • Collaborate with patient advocates, clinicians and brand stakeholders to bring authentic voices into communications materials ensuring compliance and clarity.
  • Manage shared content tools and libraries (photos, brand logos, templates).

Internal Communications

  • Assist in the creation of the monthly internal newsletter by sourcing content from stakeholders, drafting copy, and coordinating approvals.
  • Provide support on internal communications requests by drafting content, liaising with relevant teams, and coordinating approvals.
  • Support the coordination and collection of data for quarterly statistics updates.
  • Support planning for the Company All Hands by assisting in developing the presentation, and coordinating post-event wrap-up.
  • Support with the creation, uploading, and ongoing maintenance of intranet content.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience in communications, content and/or marketing,
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, telehealth, pharmaceuticals, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience across social, corporate, and consumer-facing materials.
  • Experience in managing digital and social content, especially on LinkedIn, and working within brand and compliance guidelines.
  • Comfort using content approval platforms (e.g. Veeva), CMS tools, Canva, and social scheduling tools like Sprout.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and public affairs environment.
  • Highly organised with strong project coordination skills and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • A proactive mindset — comfortable taking ownership of briefs and improving how things get done.
  • An interest in advocacy, patient outcomes, or emerging sectors is a plus.
